Our stay in the Stanley Safari Lodge ends today. With heavy hearts we say goodbye to the luxury of the last three days. Bushtracks, our transport to Kasane arrives on time at 9.00. After 1.5 hour we reach the frontier between Zambia and Botswana. It is very busy here. This is somehow how I imagined an african border. People are walking around like ants. Trucks are queuing up more than a kilometer, waiting to be taken over the Zambesi with the ferry. Each time just a single truck can be transported. Our guide tells us that they often have to wait for about a week to get to Botswana on the other
side of the Zambesi. We are lucky since Bushtracks has their own boat. So we just have get our emigration form. On the Botswana side we are waiting for somebody which gives me a chance to watch the scenery here for a while. It is fascinating what kind of cargo people are carrying: piles of beer boxes, dozens of carton packed with multimedia equipment…
