I just came across piclen . Having installed the piclens addon in your browser you can browse pictures from enabled sites in a really cool way. Browser addons are available for Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari.
On Firefox the plugin can be started by the small “play” icon in the upper right on the menu bar.

You should really give it a try on my photoblog which I just enabled for piclens. Have fun!
